IEI's flagship product is eMerge, a browser managed security platform. Unlike legacy security systems currently in existence, eMerge has the enormous advantage of using a web browser to monitor and control multiple facilities. From any location with an Internet connection, users can view live event logs, video and interactive floor plans, remotely lock or unlock doors, view video, arm or disarm burglar alarm systems, and initiate system-wide changes through Threat Level Status. With no software to buy or maintain and no new wiring to install, eMerge has a lower cost of ownership and provides greater functionality in a completely integrated security management system.
In addition to eMerge, IEI produces and markets a line of stand-alone access control systems and keypads, as well as access control locksets, network-based access control systems, and mobile fleet management systems. The company markets these products to the leading industry distribution, installation and vertical end-user companies worldwide.
IEI’s products include its Door-Gard™ and Secured Series™ access control lines, its LS line of integrated battery operated door locks, its eMerge™ browser-managed access and security management products and its line of PowerKey™ industrial access control and fleet management products.
IEI's headquarters is located in Canton, Massachusetts, about 20 miles southwest of Boston. The facility houses research and development, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and administrative staffs.
